"Lost LA" explores the past through the region's archives, where photos, documents, and other rare artifacts unlock the untold history behind the fantasy of Southern California. Hosted by writer and public historian Nathan Masters of the USC Libraries, each episode of "Lost LA" brings the primary sources of history to the screen in surprising new ways. Much of L.A.'s past is lost to history, but through the region's archives, we can uncover the inspiring dreams and bitter realities that built the modern-day metropolis.
SoCal Matters, a @PBSSoCal partnership with @CalMatters, is a series of short news segments reported by a diverse team of journalists concerning a wide range of topics relevant to communities in Southern California. PBS SoCal weaves together compelling stories of artists participating in the Getty’s milestone art event, "PST ART: Art & Science Collide," and explores how they collaborate with science and technology in unexpected ways. Viewers can get a sneak peek of some of the content from the yet-to-be titled documentary through "Fusing Art & Science," a series of weekly digital shorts that provide an exploration into the intertwined realms of art and science. "PST ART" productions on PBS SoCal are made possible thanks to a generous gift from John & Louise Bryson.
