Black Sabbath: The End (EX) DVD/CD
$14.99
Almost five decades ago, the toll of a bell and rolling thunder marked the conception of an ear splittingly monolithic riff. In that moment, Black Sabbath and the sound of Heavy Metal were forged. The band embarked on what Ozzy describes as “the most incredible adventure you could think of”, a journey that would go on to define a genre. The End is a celebration of Black Sabbath’s final hometown concert at Birmingham’s Genting Arena on February 4th, 2017. With a hit packed set list including Iron Man, Paranoid, War Pigs, and many more, the high production values, visual effects, and pyrotechnics wowed fans, as the band delivered the most emotionally charged show in their history. All visual formats feature special bonus material of the band playing a selection of their favorite songs not played on tour. These intimate live sessions at Angelic Studios were recorded in the days after their final live performance. The End captures a once-in-a-career performance, an essential snapshot of musical history, and a fitting farewell to true innovators and original heavy metal icons, Black Sabbath. Bob Marley: Uprising Live! DVD/2CD
$16.99
In October 1973 Bob Marley and the Wailers gave an intimate performance at Capitol Studios in Hollywood. Whilst they performed and recorded twelve classic songs, from the sidelines producer Denny Cordell captured the event on camera. The footage lay unseen for decades and was long considered lost, until a freelance researcher, sent to archive all things Marley, found a few frames. Intrigued, for over 20 years the trail to track down more of the film led him through storage units and record company archives from New York and London to San Diego until, finally, enough of the precious fragments were assembled. Now, painstakingly restored and edited, the Capitol Session ’73 is ready for release and set to become arguably the finest audio-visual recording of Bob Marley and the Wailers in existence. Queen: Queen Rock Montreal + Live Aid 2xBlu-ray
$37.99
Queen Rock Montreal, recorded live at Montreal’s 18,000 seater Forum over two nights in November 1981, is a celebration of Queen at the very height of their 80’s record-breaking achievements. It is also a historic recording of the very last concerts of Queen ‘raw’.This was the time when Queen had topped both the US singles and album charts for the first time, had become the first band ever to top the UK singles, albums and video charts simultaneously and on their historic invasion of Latin America had broken the world attendance record for a single paying concert when 131,000 Brazilians saw the band play Sao Paulo’s Morumbi stadium. 1981 was, says John Deacon, “a year for discovering new audiences we didn’t know existed.”For this new version of Queen Rock Montreal, the 35mm negative was scanned to ensure the highest possible resolution, which was then examined frame by frame to remove any dirt, damage or splices to enhance the sharpness and quality of the picture. The audio for both Queen Rock Montreal and Live Aid are presented in Dolby Atmos audio for the first time ever. The double Blu-ray release features Queen Rock Montreal in Full Frame on disc one, as it was originally intended to be viewed, along with their iconic Live Aid performance, presented for the first time in upscaled HD with Dolby Atmos audio. Disc two contains the widescreen format of the concert, along with a behind the scenes featurette composed of Queen rehearsing for Live Aid interspersed with an interview with the band, recorded just prior to Live Aid. The Queen Rock Montreal and Live Aid performances are presented with LPCM Stereo, DTS-HD Master Audio, and, for the first time, Dolby Atmos.
