In this video we are servicing a Rinnai unit with distilled white vinegar. We service mostly all our tankless heaters with vinegar we sometimes use Flow-Aid in a pinch. The service should be run with 4 gallons of vinegar for 20 to 30 minutes. Remember to remove the filter and replace the housing before you start the service. Clean the filter with a soft bristle brush and put it into the bucket to soak. After the service you need to flush the system of any vinegar. By do this service you will prolong the life of the tankless heater. Rinnai recommends flushing the heat exchanger every year, we do all commercial units 4 times a year. I hope this video is helpful. Thanks Mike
