Shamisen by Tokyo Lens
$49.00
The Tsugaru Shamisen is an instrument that, to many, represents the sound of Japan. An incredible instrument that can be powerful one second, and incredibly gentle the next. This Shamisen plushie has been designed to represent the essence of the Tsugaru Shamisen in a format that anyone can have in their home. ---------------------------------- A Note from the Creator, Norm Nakamura; Hey! Hope you are doing well today~ I have spent nearly the last 2 years trying to make this little plushie a reality, and now here it is! So first, and most importantly, I want to express so much gratitude and love for you even taking the time to take a look and read this. I started playing the Tsugaru Shamisen over 10 years ago now. And the shamisen world has given me so much. I honestly owe a great deal of my life here in to Japan to this one instrument. Even my career as a creator in Japan, started with capturing and sharing the sound of Tsugaru Shamisen. But as I met performers and shamisen craftsmen, visited shops, played in competitions, and traveled the world with shamisen players, I started to want to do something a little more to contribute to this world that I had fallen in love with. And this simple shamisen plushie, is my contribution to this world that has given me so much. Something that the average shamisen shop could put in their window, or that a fan of Japan or shamisen music could have sitting on their shelf, bed, or wherever they want! This item is a limited edition run, based off of the custom built shamisen that I had made for me by a craftsman here in Japan (https://youtu.be/M0Ic64TPJVc). And yes... I've actually sent the first-ever one that was sent to me, directly to Komatsu San, the gentleman who made my shamisen for me! I am honestly overjoyed to be able to share this with you, and if you have read all of this, please accept my gratitude and love once again! I hope that your day is beautiful, an that this little shamisen plushie can put as much of a smile on your face as it does on mine~ - Norm Tokyo Lens
