Documentary of the Jarrell, Texas F5 tornado that killed 27 people and obliterated the Double Creek estates on May 27, 1997. Widely considered the most intense tornado damage ever recorded as the tornado wiped away virtually everything in its path. The tornado 0.0% survival rate above ground inside the core. The mother and daughter that survived were on the outer edge of the funnel. This tornado is also famous for the "DEAD Man Walking" photo of multiple vortices that resemble a pair of arms and legs as the tornado approached the photographer position. 20 year retrospective by KVUE on the Jarrell tornado    • Jarrell Tornado: 20 years later | KVUE   Great breakdown of the tornado by Carly Anna WX    • One Day in May: The 1997 Jarrell Texa...   Another great video by Swegle Studios-    • Tornado Lost Media - The Dead Man Wal...   It was originally aired in 1999 and to my best knowledge this is the only copy of this on the internet. Apologies for the poor quality of the video, the VHS tape this was recorded on is almost 30 years years old and this recording was done in EP and watched at least a hundred times so the tape is in very poor condition. I tried 5 different VCRs and this was the best the tracking was going to get. I deliberately left the commercials in because...I like nostalgic commercials and you can scroll right through them. The Narrator is William Hootkins who played 'Porkins" in the original Star Wars film, and also the shady government agent In Raiders of the Lost ark and Lt. Ekhart in the 1989 Batman film.
