Luckily, I found a better alternative! Want more product reviews of cool gadgets, home electronics, clever tools, men's clothing and more? Check out our review channel:    / @tomshomefinds   I stumbled upon this Homax Popcorn Ceiling Patch on Amazon and it was so cheap I had to try it. Anything was going to be better than using that popcorn ceiling spray paint applicator that basically spews out popcorn all over the room. This stuff is like a small tub of spackling that has the popcorn mixed right in. It honestly looks a lot like oatmeal. There's no real mixing or anything special you have to do, though I did stir it up each time I used it. I chose to apply the popcorn ceiling patch with a dollar store paintbrush because I could lift up small amounts, stick them to the bare spots, and then sort of dab the mix on the ceiling, giving it a little more texture. You'll want to use a drop cloth just in case, but it's relatively low mess and has almost no odor. It takes a few hours to dry, dries mostly white, and you can apply as much or as little as you want. A one quart tub like the one I used is designed to cover about one square foot of ceiling space with popcorn, so this is really designed for small repairs and fixes. Homax actually makes a number of different popcorn ceiling products that can be used for larger projects or other applications. They are all reasonably affordable and you can find most on Amazon here: https://amzn.to/31YR33C All the products I recommend: https://www.amazon.com/shop/tomshomei...
