In this video I'll show you how to build a wooden barn door for under a $100. This includes the hardware and track. I'm wrapping up a project for a client and who has asked me to keep the barn door cost down as low as possible. Keep in mind, using higher quality materials typically come at a higher cost however they also yield a higher quality product. So I have done the best that I could while using inexpensive materials. And I feel that anyone with basic woodworking skills can do this project. Here's the list of materials I used for this project: (2) sheets 1/4" underlayment $26.98 (2) 1"x 4 x 8' pine board $8.14 (5) 1" x 4" x 5' pine board $18.75 (1) box 3/4" screws $6.47 (1) bottle wood glue $2.97 (2) 3" garage pulley's $7.20 (1) 10' primed lattice $5.15 (1) 10' primed 2.5" x 1" trim board $13.80 (1) quart kilz paint $678 (1) sponge roller $2.25 Total $98.49 (before taxes) If you deduct one sheet of underlayment, that will put the project under $100 including taxes.
