The DJI Mavic Mini is a little handicapped because of the lack of exposure control in the app. We are not able to adjust the ISO and Shutter Speed of the Mavic Mini camera when shooting video. We do have full control in photo mode, which allows us to shoot long exposure photos using ND Filters. In this video, I show you how I dial in shooting long exposure photos as well as show you a few samples of using ND Filters for video with the DJI Mavic Mini.
Some issues I did run into when using the filters is hard stopping. You don’t want to hard stop and go with the drone or the gimbal will shift a bit. You have to make really slow movements with the sticks or else it will shift. Also when tilting the gimbal using the PL, I did see some red vignette coming from the ring. It would only come up when using it at certain angles and when pointed towards the sun.
