A fast and easy way to patch a large hole in plasterboard walls Here is a simple way for repairing a large hole in plasterboard walls. You will only need a few simple tools to repair the drywall. A Straight edge, a Sharp stanley knife or similar, a Scrap piece of plasterboard (drywall), some plaster tape, a Plaster spreader, a short piece of timber, a few screws, an Electric Drill and a small drill bit, a Pencil and some premixed plaster filler, and some paint and brushes to cover the finished repair. I was asked if I could repair some large drywall holes in the plasterboard walls of this rental property. So I decided to make a short video, showing how I went about repairing the plasterboard, and restored them back to new condition. (found onsite) The tape is fiberglass and made specially for Plaster. Screws can be anything as long as they are countersunk. (found onsite) The wood I used was a piece of scrap timber.
