In addition to the trains, you need track and a control system to make it work. These model train videos are extremely expensive to make. The model train equipment you see in this video cost in excess of $4000 and I'm sure my entire collection cost in excess of $15,000. As an example, each foot of track cost about $7. The cost of the cameras and production equipment is another factor. An app allows control of the entire system on an Android phone or tablet, as well as on an iPad or iPhone. In the video, there's a brief cameo by my wife, Kellyn. (Her name rhymes with Helen, by the way.) It took her exactly one attempt to do a perfect eye-roll reaction to my stupid joke in the video. (She has had much practice over the years.)
