Is your Ham Radio HT rubber ducky letting you down? Do you want to transmit a stronger signal to the repeaters? If so, I'll show you how to build a two meter quarter wave ground plane antenna. It is simple, low cost and quick to build. Give it a try, build one. Length in feet = 234 / Frequency in MHz. To convert feet to inches, multiply the length in feet by 12 to get inches. Metric: length is 0.485 meters. Parts, 6-32 hardware SO-239 connector Wire or welding rod for the elements. Coax cable to run to your radio. You may need an adapter to connect to to your radio.
