Today, we're learning how to draw a rainbow. We’ll use our rainbow drawing for a mindfulness breathing exercise for kids called Rainbow Breathing. Rainbow Breathing is a breathing exercise that helps kids visualize their breath as a rainbow. Rainbow visualization helps kids focus on their breathing and become aware of their bodies. This can help them relax and be mindful of their feelings, leading to improved emotional regulation skills and mental health. Rainbow Breathing is a fun and simple meditation exercise that’s perfect for kids, and a great way to introduce them to mindfulness. Step 1 Place your finger on the left cloud. Step 2 Breathe in through your nose while tracing your finger across the red arch until you reach the pink cloud on the other side. Step 3 Hold your breath for 3 seconds with your finger still on the pink cloud. Step 4 Breathe out your mouth while tracing your finger across the yellow arch until you reach the pink cloud on the other side. Step 5 Hold your breath for 3 seconds with your finger still on the pink cloud. Repeat for each color of the rainbow, alternating between breathing in through your nose, holding, then breathing out through your mouth.
