It was his son who ended his life financially ruined and upon his death in 1958 the château was in a state of complete abandon. It is at this time that Pierre-Paul Grassé, Academician of Science from Perigueux, who acquired the château and restored it to a high standard, providing a private country residence for his family and the perfect cadre for receiving the luminaries of science, literature and politics of the XXth century. Today it is his daughter, who with loving care gives the château its feeling of grandeur, with an inviting warmth and beauty from where you feel very at home – perfect for a private country residence to enjoy with friends and family or equally suitable for a business venture to enjoy with guests.
