Tata, winner of the highest Indian civilian medal. During Ratan Tata's tenure of about two decades, he transformed it into the largest Indian multinational with a growth of more than 50-fold in total revenue to $100 billion. This is remarkable because Ratan Tata, through his leadership, changed the structure of the Tata Group of companies, overcoming resistance from senior executives, and thrusting the Tata Group into high technology domains, dramatically changing Tata's global presence while re-branding the name of the large Tata Group.
