EDIT: YOU ONLY NEED 4 CHAOS FLAME This is the fastest way to upgrade the Blades of Chaos to Lv. 5. You need to follow the video exactly for this to work. I was trying to see if you could upgrade the Blades past lv. 5 so that's why I did this 5 times; you only need 4 though. If you have any questions on how to do it, let me know in the comments. Seeing as New Game + hasn't arrived yet, this method makes Give Me God of War difficulty a lot more achievable. If this gets patched, you know why. NOTES
  • I tried to see if this method works for the axe. My only save file was on Magni and Modi but no success. I might try the Dragon but I think the gatekeeper has the only opportunity for this to work.

  • It works due to the checkpoint being so close to killing the boss. So when you pick up the flame, restarting from checkpoint will keep the flame while replaying the fight.
  • This might get patched but I don't think so for awhile. Not until NG+ update anyway.
  • I'll update here if it gets patched
