This video shows how I made the wooden band saw I designed. It's a 12" model, and that means the wheels are 12" in diameter. The max resaw capacity is 7-1/4". It uses an 80" blade. The motor I used is a 1 hp induction motor that runs at 1725 rpm. The pulley ratio is 2:1 with the lower wheel running at half the motor speed. The unique feature is the quick release tensioner.
