Anne Swanson used to fear phone interactions due to Intrusive Thought Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. She would fear she had said something atrocious, even though she hadn't. However, through exposure response therapy, Anne has learned to manage her anxiety and embrace leaving voicemail messages. No pets were harmed in the making of this TEDx Talk Anne Swanson’s mission in life is to connect good people with each other. Professionally, she does this by working as a college recruiter at a technology company. She also serves as their Lafayette corporate social responsibility chair. In 2015, she won a prestigious “Bridge Builder” award for helping engage her company’s members in civic causes.
